Personal Data Backup and Recovery

This repo contains scripts and instructions for backing up and recovering your personal data stored in applications and cloud services.

Note

The master backup drive contains all backups along with some historical backups Each thumb drive located in Matt and Jennifer's vehicle contain only the latest backup, excluding photos.

Process Overview

1. Create a backup of each service / product.

   • Bitwarden
   • Bookmarks
   • Google Calendar
   • Google Contacts
   • Google Drive

2. Ensure all backups of the services above are placed into a backup folder. I suggest creating a folder named backup and placing everything you backup in that one location. This will make it easier to transfer the files in a later step.

3. Connect to your backup share.

4. Copy the contents of your local backup folder to the backup share.
